Details for the FTS Christmas Classic
The annual Fallen Timber Stables Christmas Classic will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017. This is a fun-filled afternoon where students will ride from approximately 11:00am until 1:30 pm, coming together for games, camaraderie, and friendly competition. At the close of the Classic, everyone will move to the Blythedale Fire Hall to continue the festivities with a covered dish dinner. NOTE: We all know January’s weather can sometimes be fickle. In case of inclement weather where it would be too cold or slippery to ride, we will simply meet at the fire hall at 1:00pm to begin the festivities! We will keep you updated as the date approaches. CHRISTMAS CLASSIC: Where: Fallen Timber Stables When: Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM Who: The Classic is open for Fallen Timber Stables Students who wish to participate. If you are a student and wish to ride in the Classic, be sure to sign up at lessons! Boarders are invited to spectate the event. CHRISTMAS PARTY: Where: Blythedale Fire Hall When: Immediately following the Christmas Classic Who: All boarders and students are invited to attend! What: This is a covered dish dinner. Please sign up! This way, we will know who will be attending, and you can see what everyone is bringing (helps eliminate duplicates). Signups: We are doing sign-ups a little differently this year. You can either sign up by posting a comment TO THIS FACEBOOK CALENDAR EVENT with who is coming and what dish you are bringing, OR there will also be a sign-up sheet posted on the main bulletin board at the stable. Note: Students who haul in may leave their horses and trailers at the stable, and then catch a ride to the fire hall with a fellow student or boarder. PARKING AND OTHER LOGISTICS: IF YOU ARE HAULING IN: When you arrive, please stop at the top of the driveway and find LEW or call him at 412-401-9327 so he can get you parked. ALL OTHERS: Park in the top lot, up by the house, or off to the left in the lower lot near the barn. Please leave the area in front of the arena door clear, as we will need the additional space for riders. Also, please no cars behind the barn (so we can maneuver trailers). PARTY DETAIL: If you are bringing a covered dish, please bring extension cords and serving spoons.
